Episodes

[edit]

The game has 20 episodes. Each Episode contains 7 stages.

Gameplay

[edit]

Players assume the office of a summoner, opening scrolls in gild to acquire monsters to fight in turn-based battles.

Monsters

[edit]

Newly summoned monsters can range from a 1-star class to a v-star form, with 4 and 5-star monsters existence the rarest. As of January 2018, 5-star monsters take about a 0.5% adventure to obtain from a mystical gyre. 4 star monsters have an 8.2% chance to obtain from a mystical scroll. 3-star monsters have a 91% chance to summon from a mystical gyre. Using monsters in boxing raises their experience level, and they can exist evolved to a higher star course, with the maximum being a 6-star form.

Cairos Dungeon is a critical element in the game. It is where players farm the bulk of their runes, all awakening essences, and a diverseness of other materials. These dungeons range in difficulty from B1 existence the easiest, to B12 as the most challenging.

Monsters come in five elements: water, fire, wind, light, and night. In terms of attack, water monsters have an advantage over fire, fire has an reward over wind, and wind has an reward over water. Lite and dark take advantage over each other, only deal regular damage to the other iii types. In addition, each monster likewise has a specific class, such as support, defense force, wellness points, and assail.[vi]

In addition to evolving to a higher star grade, another gameplay mechanic is “awakening”, which transforms the monster. The process requires “essences” of the elements of the monster such as magic, fire, water, wind, night, and lite. Which tin exist obtained from the entities called “Keeper”. Each keepers divided into 6 different kinds such as “Keeper of Magic”, “Keeper of Water”, “Keeper of Fire”, “Keeper of Air current”, “Keeper of Night”, and “Keeper of Calorie-free” in Cairos Dungeon. But the appearance of the keepers are timed (except for Keeper of Magic). Each attributes volition appear within amount of sure times, typically 12 to 72 hours every mean solar day. The keeper who occupies showtime will disappear when the time is up, Then it will be replaced with some other keeper. The higher the level of the Keeper. The more essences that the players will get.

Cairos Dungeon Monsters that are naturally higher stars, or summoned at higher course, crave more than essences. Awakening a monster changes its appearance and name, boosts its innate stats, and may allow it to gain a new skill or meliorate a skill the monster already has.

Runes

[edit]

A core mechanic of the game is the utilize of runes. Each monster tin can accommodate six runes, which helps boost its innate stats. These tin can be upgraded using mana (in-game currency), which increases the stats runes provide. Similar to monsters, runes come in different grades, ranging from one to half-dozen stars. Higher-grade runes offer amend stats, only price more mana to upgrade and have a lower gamble of being upgraded the college the upgrade is, compared to runes with lower star levels.[7]

Players are likewise able to participate in a siege boxing, a 3 order costless for all with the goal of occupying the enemy guild’south bases in order to gain more points. The first guild to achieve 20,000 points wins the boxing. If a order is unable to reach the 20,000 points earlier the timer runs out, the club with the virtually siege points wins.

Rift of Worlds is a cooperative raid mode unlockable afterwards completing a World Boss battle at least once,[10]
that pits teams of three players, each using a team of six monsters, against a iii-headed boss. Players can position their monsters in the forepart row, where they’ll receive more harm, or the back row, where they’ll be safe from some incoming attacks.[xi]
The battle commences in auto-style, pregnant the role player has no direct input on what skills their monsters use.

Unique rewards that can be earned after winning a raid include rune grindstones and enchanted gems. Rune grindstones are used to heave a rune’southward substats, while gems tin exist used to change a substat to a dissimilar i.

World Arena

[edit]

The World Arena is a variant of the regular Arena mode where players face off against other players in real time (by default, up to 30 times a day). The ii players accept turns selecting a squad of five monsters, with no duplicates immune. After both teams are selected, each player bans ane monster on the opposing team, and the match begins. Reviews

[edit]

Summoners State of war
has received positive reviews. Brittany Vincent gave the game 4 out of 5 stars, praising its high production value and interesting mechanics.[17]
Noting the oversaturation of the game genre, Vincent Haoson notes that
Summoners State of war
has “considerably superior graphics and product value”.[18]
On a similar note, Nick Shively applauded the style of gameplay, stating, “What actually separates
Summoners War: Sky Arena
from the rest of the mobile MMORPGs is the gainsay”.[19]

Shively too complimented the 3D rendering of the fights and monsters during gainsay. “I thought this was a pretty cool aspect, since nigh mobile MMORPGs feature carte du jour systems and you never really go to see your creatures moving in 3D”.[19]

Withal, both Shively and Vincent betoken out that the high degree of grinding could put off many players.[17]
[19]
Speaking nearly the nature of collecting the strongest monsters, Vincent argues, “The game is clearly geared toward collecting as much money from its players equally possible, just it’southward simply equally enjoyable without spending a dime”.[17]

Some other criticism is the game’south generic story. While Haoson awarded
Summoners War
a perfect score, he describes the plot every bit “a mediocre and linear storyline to give the notion of progress and development as it takes the histrion from one map to the next”.[eighteen]
